The files will have the following name structure:

SSSSS - station identifier
nn - domain (e.g. 04)
yyyy - year
mm- month
dd- day
hh:mm:ss- hour minute second


Variables:

ZNU - half sigma level
ZNW - full sigma level
PHB - base state geopotential
PH - geopotantial perturbation
T - perturbation potential temperature (from 300 K, see retrieve.extracted.profiles.r)
U - grid U wind component (m/s)
V - grid V windomponent (ms) 
QVAPOR - Specific Humidity mixing ratio (g/g)
P - pressure perturbation (Pa) 
PB - Base State Pressure
ALT - a over density (g/m3)
Uew - U wind component earth rotated (m/s)
Vew - V wind component earth rotated (m/s)
